D.I.Y.!

D.I.Y.!
Today i`m going to do a very simple decorative D.I.Y. I`m going to show you how to add a colored tint on to a plain old cork board that you can use as a bulletin board to just pin up some reminders. It very simple and can be removed with a damp cloth if you ever want to change the color again! So without further ado:

First you will need:
A WATERCOLOR pencil of your choice

I chose a dark pink color to make it seem like a rosy tint.(Of course you can use ANY color :) )

You will need a cork board of any size

A Craft knife or Pencil sharpener

A Brush

A small container with a few drops of water
First use a pencil sharpener or craft knife to get shavings of the pencil (NOT THE WOOD) into the small container of water.

Then use a brush combine the pencil and water

 >
You can test the color on the side of the board. I f it`s to dark add a drop of water:) If it`s to light add more shavings:)

Then you can use your brush to paint on designs on to the board. You can do stripes like i did. Polka dots, squares or just cover the whole thing. BE CREATIVE!

Then wait a few hours or overnight to dry

Voila!! (You can`t really see it because of the lighting but it does look very nice!)
If you don`t like the color, just get a damp cloth and wipe it away!
Have fun coloring!!
